The Brunei Museums hold a road show on
awareness programme.
The Museums Department this morning held a
Road show on its Act Awareness Programme. It was to impart understanding
among the community, and cultivate the sense of appreciation for the
cultural heritage and the natural environment. During the road show,
several briefings were given on the Act of Book Preservation, Brunei
Darussalam National Archive, Ancient and hidden treasures as well as
Wildlife Protection, including demonstrations on taxidermy and a
briefing on maritime issues. Besides that, various activities were also
organised, among them, colouring, calligraphy and Brunei traditional
games. The theme of the four-day road show is "The Museum as the Agent
of Change and Social Development.
